Childrens Summer Art
The Arts Council of Greater Palatka would like to announce our "Creative Hands" summer arts and crafts program for children and teens.
Wow it's almost that time again when our children will be out of school and looking for something to do. So why not bring them down to the Larimer Arts Center, located at 216 Reid Street, for our Creative Hands summer classes. Our new instructor, Susan Miracle-Cothron, has weeks of activities planned for your children. Our classes will be different each week and will run from June 8th through August 6. Classes will be 35.00 per week and will be Monday - Thursday. There will be morning classes for elementary and afternoon for middle to high school age students. Please see class schedule below.
Susan teaches Art in design, technique, and concept with a variety of mediums, including acrylics, watercolor, pen & ink, collage, digital, and pencil to all ages.
Susan is experienced in teaching grades K - 12 and was the art instructor at Peniel Baptist Academy from 2003 to 2007. Susan volunteered and taught decorative art to high school students in Haiti, as a way for them to earn money in souvenir sales. She taught art and held camps in Guyana South America, Trinidad West Indies, and Palatka Florida for underprivileged children and organized two teams of teens to travel toTrinidad West Indies for service work.
