County Art Teachers and Parents
The Annual All County Art
Student Show featuring art by Putnam County students has been
scheduled for February this year. We want to make you all aware this
show will
be available for your students to ‘show off’ their work produced during
the
school year. Having this to look forward to could be a great incentive
for your
students to produce art work they can be proud of. The opening of the
show includes
a breakfast reception for the winners and their parents and
teachers on
February 19th, 2011.
Awards,
ribbons and gifts will be presented at a Saturday morning
reception and Continental Breakfast sponsored by Seminole Electric
Cooperative
from 9:30 to 11 A.M..
All
of your students are invited to submit art work for the show. There
will be four divisions of competition: High School, Middle School, 3rd
through 5th Grades, Elementary and K-2. First, Second and third
place prizes are awarded in each division. Each student may enter no
more than
three pieces of work, not to exceed 18”x24”. All work must be
identified on the
back with the students name, grade level, school and principal. One of
the
enclosed labels must be attached to the back, with a non-attached
duplicate
with the same information, that will be placed on the front after the
judging
is completed.
The
entry deadline is February 10th. Entries will be accepted at the
Larimer Arts Center Feb.7th thru 10th, Between 11 A.M.
and 3 P.M. Entries received after the deadline may not be considered
for
judging and will be hung at the discretion of the Gallery Committee.
Entries
will remain on exhibit at the Larimer Arts Center through March11th
. All entries must be picked up by March 15th. We can not be
responsible for
artwork left past the deadline.

encourage your student body to participate in the Art Show and
win a chance to join us Feb. 19th
for a fun event at the Larimer Arts Center.
